
የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት እና ፕሮ ዴቨሎፕመንት ኔትዎርክ በጋራ ባዘጋጁት የግማሽ ቀን የምክክር አውደ ጥናት በኢ.ፌ.ዲ.ሪ ፍትህ ሚኒስቴር በቀረቡ በሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች አዋጅ 1113/2019 ማሻሻያ ሃሳቦች ላይ ያተኮረ ውይይት ተደረገ።
ስብሰባው እነዚህ ማሻሻያዎች በተወሰኑ የትኩረት አቅጣጫዎች ላይ ሊያደርሱ የሚችሉትን ተፅእኖ ለመፍታት እና ከተለያዩ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች፣ ኔትወርኮች እና ሌሎች ባለድርሻ አካላት ግብአቶችን ለመሰብሰብ መድረኩን ፈጥሯል።
ከተሳታፊዎች መካከል በአዲስ አበባ ከሚገኙ ጥምረቶች እና ኔትዎርኮች የተውጣጡ አባላት እንዲሁም ከሀገሪቱ ክልሎች የተውጣጡ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ተወካዮች ተገኝተውበታል።
ሀምሌ 22 ቀን 2017 በተካሄደው የግማሽ ቀን አውደ ጥናት የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ተወካዮች እና ባለድርሻ አካላት ድርጅቶቻቸውን እና የሚያገለግሏቸውን የማህበረሰብ ክፍሎች በቀጥታም ሆነ በተዘዋዋሪ አሉታዊ ተጽዕኖ ሊያስከትሉ ይችላሉ ያሏቸውን በጥልቀት የተወያዩበት እንዲሁም በዘርፉ ሊፈቱ የሚችሉ ወሳኝ ክፍተቶችን ለመለየት የሚረዱ ግብዓቶች ተሰባስበዋል።
The Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC) and the Pro Development Network (PDN) jointly hosted a half-day consultative workshop that focused on the FDRE Ministry of Justice's recently proposed amendments to the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Proclamation 1113/2019.
The meeting served to address the potential impact of these amendments on specific focus areas and to gather valuable input from a diverse group of individual CSOs, networks, and other stakeholders on the proposed document.
Participants included members from consortia and networks in Addis Ababa, as well as civil society organizations based in various regions of Ethiopia.
A critical agenda item at the half-day long workshop hosted on July 29, 2025 the workshop was to create a platform for civil society representatives and stakeholders to express concerns directly and indirectly affecting their organizations and the communities they serve as well as identifying crucial gaps for the sector to address.

የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች በአየር ንብረት ለውጥ ምክንያት አደጋዎች እንዳይከሰቱ አስቀድሞ ከመከላከል እንዲሁም አደጋዎች ሲገጥሙ ደግሞ ሰብአዊነትን መሰረት ያደረገ አፋጣኝ ምላሽ በመስጠት ከመንግስት ተቋማት ጋር በመሆን የረዥም ጊዜ ሥራ ሲሰሩ መቆየታቸው ታሪክ የሚዘክረው ነው።
ማክሰኞ ሀምሌ 8 ቀን 2017 ዓ.ም በተደረገ የችግኝ ተከላ መርሃ ግብር የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት ፕሬዝደንት አቶ አህመድ ሁሴን ” ሰብዓዊነት የሲቪል ማህበራት ዋነኛ መገለጫ ነው፡፡ ሰብዓዊነት ድንበር የለውም። እኛም ዛሬ በዚህ ስፍራ የተገናኘነው አረንጓዴ ልማትን ከአካባቢያችንና ከሀገራችን በመጀመር በደን መራቆት ምክንያት መላው የሰው ልጆች ከተጋረጠባቸው ከፍተኛ የአየር ንብረት ለውጥ ተጽዕኖ ለመታደግ ችግኞችን በመትከል ሰብዓዊ ሃላፊነታችንን ለመወጣት ነው” ብለዋል። አቶ አህመድ አክለውም የአረንጓዴ አሻራ መርሃ ግብር ከልጅ አስከ አዋቂ የሚሳተፍበት መልካም ተግባር በመሆኑ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ከሚሰሩት ስራ ጋር በማቀናጀት ተግባራዊ ማድረግ እንደሚጠበቅባቸው ተናግረዋል።
የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ባለስልጣን ሀላፊዎች የምክር ቤቱ የስራ አስፈፃሚ ኮሚቴ አባላት እና የምክር ቤቱ ጽህፈት ቤት ሰራተኞች ከተለያዩ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ጋር በመሆን የችግኝ ተከላ መርሃ ግብሩ ላይ ተሳትፈዋል።
የሲቪል ማህበረሰሰብ ድርጅቶች ባለስልጣን ዳይሬክተር ጀነራል አቶ ሳምሶን ቢራቱ በመልዕክታቸው የዘንድሮው አረንጓዴ አሻራ መርኃ ግብር ‹‹በመትከል ማንሰራራት›› በሚል መሪ ቃል በሃገር አቀፍ ደረጃ መጀመሩን አንስተው የሲቪል ማኅበረሰብ ድርጅቶችም አረንጓዴ አሻራቸውን ለማኖር በመገኘታቸው ምስጋናቸውን አቅርበዋል፡፡
የምክር ቤቱ ዋና ዳይሬክተር ተረፈ ደጌቲ ለዘርፉ ያስተላለፉት መልዕክት አካባቢንም ሆነ ሀገርን ወደ ተሻለ ደረጃ ለማድረስ እንደተለመደው በመተባበር ችግኝ ከመትከል ባለፈ የተተከለውን ከመንከባበቡ ረገድም የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ዘርፉ እና ሁሉም አካል መጠንከር እንዳለበት አስምረውበታል።
Civil society organizations have a continuing culture of working with government institutions to prevent disasters caused by climate change and to respond to disasters based on humanitarian principles.
During the tree planting session held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, Ahmed Hussen, President of the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council, said, “Humanity is the main characteristic of civil society. Humanity has no borders. We are here today to fulfill our human responsibility by planting trees to protect all humanity from the severe impacts of climate change that are being faced in the world due to deforestation.” He added that the green legacy initiative is a commendable activity welcomes the involvement of each citizen regardless of age groul and should be implemented in coordination with the work of civil society organizations.
Officials from Authority for Civil Society Organization (ACSO), ECSOC’s Executive Committee members and staff of the Council’s Secretariat participated in the tree planting program together with various civil society organizations.
Director General of ACSO, Samson Biratu, in a speech said that this year’s tree planting program was launched nationwide under the theme “Regeneration through Planting” and thanked civil society organizations for their presence to leave their green footprints.
Executive Director of ECSOC Terefe Degeti extend a call to all parties and civil society sector to join hands to improve the environment and the country, not only by planting trees, but also by taking care of what has been planted.

The impact continues! Here's a recap of the discussions and connections made at our event on July 10th where a quarterly panel discussion among CSO national dialogue reference group and Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) took place.
The discussions revolved around a presentation by ENDC’s focal person on the progress activity reports upcoming plans, expectations and challenges.
Coalitions were formed to facilitate the national dialogue, specifically engaging with representatives from women's groups, interfaith forums, youth, and people with disabilities. During discussions, the women's and interfaith forum representatives also shared their activities, challenges, expectations, and future plans in supporting the National Dialogue and meaningfully participating.
Terefe Degeti, Executive Director of ECSOC in his opening speech underlined “The main purpose of this forum is to provide a platform for us to understand the National Dialogue Commission’s work done so far, future plans and expected activities, and challenges faced, as well as consolidated meeting with representatives of civil society organizations, coalitions formed for the consultation on a quarterly basis or as needed."
The meeting was organized in partnership with Life & Peace Institute (LPI) as part of the project dubbed "Enhancing the Role of Civil Society Organizations in Ethiopia’s National Dialogue and Transitional Justice"

The Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC) hosted a ceremony honoring its outgoing Executive Committee (ExCom) Members.
In the recognition ceremony, the Council celebrated the former ExCom’s dedication, hard work, and invaluable contributions to the Council and the broader CSO sector.
The event also provided a platform for former ExCom members to share their experiences and inspire the new leadership to continue the important work ahead.
ECSOC’s President Ahmed Hussen, who was also recognized for his role as Vice President during the previous tenure expressed his gratitude for the outgoing leadership’s invaluable efforts and dedication starting from the Council's inception.
Meanwhile, Executive Director of the Council, Terefe Degeti commended the former ExCom members for their determination through challenging times.
Former President of the Council, Dr. Nigussu Legesse thanked ECSOC for the recognition and pledged ongoing support.
On the other hand ACSO's Director General Samson Biratu reiterated the Authority’s commitment to standing by the Council for the betterment of Ethiopia’s CSO sector.

በእውቅና ሥነ-ስርዓቱ ላይ ምክር ቤቱ የቀድሞ የአመራር አባላት ቁርጠኝነት፣ ታታሪነት እና ለምክር ቤቱ እና ለሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ዘርፉ ያበረከቱት አስተዋጾን አመስግኗል። በመድረኩ የቀድሞ ስራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ አባላት ልምዳቸውን ያጋሩበት እንዲሁም አዲስ በኮሚቴው ለተቀላቀሉ አመራር በቀጣይ የሚጠበቀውን ቁልፍ ስራ እንዲቀጥል የሚያበረታታ ዝግጅት ተከናውኗል።
የምክር ቤቱ ፕሬዝዳንት አቶ አህመድ ሁሴን በቀድሞው የስራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ በምክትል ፕሬዝደንትነት ሚናቸው እውቅና የተሰጣቸው ሲሆን ባስተላለፉት መልዕክታቸው ከምክር ቤቱ ምሥረታ አንስቶ የቀድሞ አመራሮቹ ላደረጉት የላቀ አስተዋጾ እና ያለመታከት ላሳዩት ትጋት ከፍተኛ ምስጋናቸውን አቅርበዋል።
የምክር ቤቱ ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ተረፈ ደጌቲ የቀድሞ የስራ አስፈፃሚ አባላት በአስቸጋሪ ጊዜያት ላሳዩት ቁርጠኝነት ምስጋናቸውን አቅርበው በርካታ ስራ ወደፊት የሚጠበቅ መሆኑ በቀድሞ የስራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ አባላት የተጀመሩ በርካታ ስራዎች በሙሉ የሃገሪቱን የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ዘርፍ አንድ እርምጃ ወደፊት እንዲራመድ ከፍተኛ አበርክቶ እንደነበረው አስምረውበታል።
የቀድሞ የምክር ቤቱ ፕሬዝደንት ዶ/ር ንጉሱ ለገሰ ምክር ቤቱ ላደረገላቸው እውቅና አመስግነው ቀጣይነት ያለው ድጋፍ ለማድረግ ቃል ገብተዋል።
በሌላ በኩል የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ባለስልጣን ዳይሬክተር ጀነራል አቶ ሳምሶን ቢራቱ ባለስልጣን መስሪያ ቤቱ ለኢትዮጵያ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ዘርፍ እድገት ከምክር ቤቱ ጎን ለመቆም ያለውን ቁርጠኝነት ገልፀዋል።
